Robert holds a Master of Science degree in Oil and Gas Management from the University of Coventry, West midlands, United Kingdom. He holds a Bachelor of environment Management from Makerere University.  He is a certified oil and gas occupational safety and health practitioner, a beneficiary of International Mining Centre for Development Courses (IM4DC) at Brisbane Australia; on environmental management in mining with the University of Queens’s Land and Western Australia path, a beneficiary of the Geo-technical and Environment management of large volume waste, at Kitwe Zambia by (IM4DC).

Robert is currently a Research Officer at the Advocates Coalition for Development and Environment (ACODE), and Coordinators activities of the Uganda National Civil society Coalition on oil and Gas (CSCO). He is a consultant and trainer of petroleum short courses particularly at Tetratec USAID on peer to peer assisted training (T.O.T), Action Aid Uganda, Director and part of a bigger team that trains delegates in Oil and Gas management short courses at Breek Consult Ltd.

He has participated in building capacity of artisanal gold miners in the country, land resettlement and compensation in the oil rich region and also coordinates international accreditation short courses on Quality Health Safety and Environment (QHSE) i.e. Managing Safely in the oil and gas industry by the institute of occupation health and safety (IOSH) in the UK with key collaboration with global environmental managers UK. He comes from the Oil rich Albertine Graben of Uganda with over 6 years’ experience in regional community engagement. His practical experience cuts across the entire extractive industries value chain as he demonstrates a good understanding of the sector in the country.
